A BARBECUE expert has revealed his top tips for outdoor cooking this summer - including how to ensure your food doesn't stick to the grill.

Fire cooking expert John Relihan began his career with Jamie Oliver and became top chef at the telly star's celebrated barbecue and steak restaurant, Barbecoa, in London.

Widely regarded as one of Ireland’s top pitmasters, John is currently stationed at Pitt Bros Smoked Barbeque restaurant in Dublin.

He's now teamed up with Aldi to act as head judge for their Hottest Grill Master competition. The winner will get a €5,000 ALDI gift card for first prize, plus an ALDI Egg BBQ.

Sharing his advice for a tasty BBQ, John says that the most important thing is to ensure you enjoy the process.

Here he reveals his other expert tips:

Aldi is calling on the people of Ireland to submit their nominations to the Hottest Grill Master Competition.

To enter simply log onto ALDI.ie/hottest-grill-master to tell us why your nominee deserves to win the title of Ireland’s Hottest Grill Master.

Competition entries are open now and close on July 5. For more information, and all competition rules see the website.
