Feeling the summer heat a tad too much?

Take a look at this great deal we've found in Homebase's big site sale - the Arlec Portable air conditioner has been reduced by 30% and now costs £350.

This air-con unit is one of a huge number of items with their prices slashed in Homebase's summertime sale.

This portable piece of kit is the perfect antidote to a hot and stuffy house.

But this deal ends on Tuesday (July 5), so don't wait too long to buy.

Furniture, homeware and gardening equipment are all included in this surprise series of discounts, which run as high as 50%.

So whether you're thinking of home improvement or something a bit more green-fingered, it's definitely worth taking a look on the sale section on the Homebase website.

Big-hitter deals include the 50% price drop on the stylish, velvet Navy Sophia Bar Stool, which we absolutely love - it's fallen from £110 to just £55.

There's also a nice little £75 discount on the Teal Scandi Savannah Sofa, which was £300 and now £225.

We were also delighted to find this Cooper Four-Drawer Chest has been reduced by £150 now costs £295.

There's same huge savings in the garden sale too - if you haven't got your barbie game together yet this summer, you can get the Texas Franklin Charcoal BBQ for £126 (was £180).

Better still, the Texas Double Cooking Oil Drum Charcoal BBQ has been slashed by 50%, now only £75.

Remember to factor in Homebase delivery costs, which range between £6 and £30 depending on the size of your order, though you'll pay nothing if you order items to a store.
