Hot, dry conditions prompts fire advisory for west RVC - CochraneToday.ca

Cochrane and west Rocky View County (RVC) have been put under a fire advisory before the Heritage Day long weekend.

The fire advisory came into effect immediately after being put in place by RVC Fire Services July 28 due to hot, dry conditions in the area. The advisory represents a moderate fire risk, according to the RVC alert, and is expected to last as long as current conditions remain.

Fire Services for the County would like to remind residents and visitors that all burning and firework permits are suspended, and burning is banned, with the following exceptions:
